Peakly ("we," "our," or "us") is an energy-tracking and wellness app that helps you understand how sleep and habits affect your energy levels. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, store, and protect your information when you use the Peakly mobile application and related services.

2.3 Sleep Data
When you log sleep, we collect:
- Bed time and wake time
- Sleep duration
- Sleep debt and sleep needed (if you provide them)
2.4 Habits Data
When you create habits, we collect:
- Habit name, icon, and color
- Schedule (start time, end time, repeat days)
- Reminder preferences
2.5 Device and Technical Information
We automatically collect:
- Push notification tokens (to send habit reminders)
- Device platform (e.g., iOS)
- Timezone (for scheduling reminders)
- App usage data (e.g., when the app goes to background) to support features like welcome-back notes
2.6 Subscription and Payment Information
If you subscribe, we receive:
- Subscription status (active, cancelled, etc.)
- Transaction identifiers from Apple or Google (we do not store full payment card details)
3. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to:
- Provide the app, including energy tracking, sleep logging, and habit tracking
- Personalize recommendations using your goals, symptoms, and survey answers to tailor energy insights
- Power the AI chat so you can ask questions about energy, sleep, and habits
- Send push notifications for habit reminders at your chosen times
- Manage subscriptions and show the paywall when needed
- Improve the app and fix issues
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms
4. AI and Third-Party Processing
4.1 OpenAI
We use OpenAI's services (including GPT-4o) to:
- Provide AI chat responses about energy, sleep, and habits
When you use the AI chat, we send relevant data (e.g., chat messages and profile context) to OpenAI. OpenAI processes this data according to its own privacy policy and terms. We do not use your data to train OpenAI's general models.
4.2 Other Third-Party Services
We use these services to operate Peakly:
- Supabase – Authentication, database, and backend infrastructure
- Expo – Push notifications
- Google – Sign-in
- Apple – Sign-in
- RevenueCat – Subscription and revenue tracking
- Superwall – Paywall presentation

5. Data Storage and Security
- Your data is stored in databases hosted by Supabase.
- We use industry-standard security measures, including encryption in transit and at rest.
- Access to your data is restricted to what is needed to provide and improve the app.
6. Data Retention
- We keep your data while your account is active.
- When you delete your account, we permanently delete your data from our systems, including sleep logs, habits, onboarding data, push tokens, and subscription records.
- Some data may remain in backups for a limited time before being overwritten.
- We may retain anonymized or aggregated data that cannot identify you.
7. Your Rights and Choices
7.1 Access and Correction
You can view and update your profile (name, goals, symptoms, survey answers) in Settings > Goals & Preferences.
7.2 Push Notifications
You can disable push notifications in your device settings. This will stop habit reminders but not other app functionality.
7.3 Account Deletion
You can delete your account in Settings > Danger zone > Delete account. This permanently removes your account and associated data. Account deletion cannot be undone.
7.4 Sign Out
You can sign out in Settings. Signing out does not delete your data; it only ends your session.
7.5 Additional Rights (e.g., GDPR, CCPA)
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- Access your personal data
- Correct inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your data
- Restrict or object to certain processing
- Data portability
- Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent

8. Children's Privacy
Peakly is not intended for users under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have collected such information, please contact us so we can delete it.
9. International Data Transfers
Your data may be processed in the United States or other countries where our service providers operate. By using Peakly, you consent to such transfers. We take steps to ensure your data is protected in line with this policy and applicable law.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated policy in the app or by other reasonable means. Continued use of Peakly after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
